I started streaming on Twitch in August of 2024. It was a slow start. Just my Playstation 5 and me. No camera. I had no clue what I was doing. I mean, I am still winging it but at least I know a few things now!

Fortunately, I’d watch the stream of a very cool lady the first time I got on Twitch. Why her? Well, she was streaming Stray, my favorite video game, so of course I watched.

We got on great from day one and she asked when I was going to stream. I thought she was crazy.

The more I watched streamers though, the more I thought, “I can do this.” Even though I’m 54 and not about to show any skin (I don’t hate women showing skin but I hate that a lot of people think it is the only way to get views when you’re a woman and I hate that a lot of people don’t give female gamers their due credit. But that’s another topic entirely). Even though I’m still “new” to gaming in a sense.

But I did it anyway. Sporadically.

December 2024 is when I got affiliated. Meaning I can make money via ads and subscriptions.
