If you’re here, it’s likely because you couldn’t read a full article…
Don’t worry — there’s a solution!
First of all, I know, I know…
What the hell is this business of a writer NOT making all of their writing available for free for anyone to read in whole on the internet?
Crazy concept, I know — to think that a writer believes that their work has value and that they should make money for it! But I DO believe my work has value and I DO think I should earn money from it. I put a lot of work into what I write. It takes time. And I try to provide some value to those who read it.
(Stay with me here, ok?)
That’s why I love Medium. Medium is a platform for writers and readers. On Medium, writers can earn money and readers can read what people publish.
Readers can read 3 free articles each month at no cost at all. And if you sign up for a free account, you get two more free reads. If you want to read unlimited amounts of articles from writers all over the world on a variety of topics, you can get a paid Medium membership.
The paid Medium membership is very reasonable — only $5 US per month or $50 US per year.
One of the best benefits of Medium for readers that there’s NO ADS! I know you hate them because I do, too. I get why some sites use them. It’s a source of income. I’ve used Adsense (from Google) in the past but I hate how intrusive it is and how it detracts from the reader experience.
And that’s exactly why I have chosen to mostly publish what I write on Medium these days.
So, if you’re happy to keep reading a few Medium articles a month for free, keep doing that.
But if you want MORE articles with no ads, consider becoming a paying member. I’m not only a Medium writer, but a paying Medium reader, too.
If you decide to become a paying Medium member, please consider signing up under me. It’s one of the little ways you can support my writing. When you become a paying Medium member through my link, I’ll receive a portion of what you pay each month (but it doesn’t increase the cost of your membership). You can sign up below:
